Transfer: to move from one place to another.
Thermal Energy: heat transferred through conduction, convection, or radiation. Heat Transfer: heat moving from a warmer object to a colder object. Conduction: the direct transfer of heat between objects that touch. Convection: the transfer of heat as a result of rising warm gas or liquid. Radiation: the transfer of heat through space by waves. Conductor: a material that transfers heat and energy well - (metals, glass). Insulator: a material that does not transfer heat or energy well - (plastic, wood, cotton). Heat: the vibration of molecules as they become hot or warm. |
